Baptism
Any parent/guardian resident in the parish who wishes their child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism is asked to make an appointment to see the Parish Priest for further details.

First Communion
Any parent/guardian with children resident in the Parish who wishes their child to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist and celebrate the Sacrament of Penance is asked to contact the Parish Priest.

Children wishing to make these sacraments should be in Year Three (aged eight) at the time they receive these sacraments and should already be baptised.

Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation is available to anyone who is in Year Nine of secondary school (aged fourteen) having already received the sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist.

Ordinarily, it is conferred either by the Diocesan Bishop or his Representative.

RCIA Group
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the parish group which helps adults prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). The group includes leaders, candidates and their sponsors from the parish community.

The meetings are led by catechists from the parish who speak about various aspects of our faith and Catholic tradition.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
This Sacrament can be celebrated (confessions are heard) on Saturday at the regular time of 5.15-5.45pm or alternatively by appointment with the Parish Priest.

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
Any parishioner wishing to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is asked to contact the Parish Priest.

Sacrament of Holy Orders
The Parish Priest would be happy to speak to any parishioners considering consecration to God in the Priesthood or Religious Life. Please click here for further details provided by the National Office for Vocation.

Sacrament of Matrimony
Anyone wishing to be married at Our Lady of Dolours is asked to make an appointment to see the Parish Priest.

The Church requires all couples wishing to receive this Sacrament to be properly prepared. At least six months notice is generally required. For further details please contact the Parish Priest.
