Fr. Dominic Byrne – Parish Priest
Fr Dominic Byrne is the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Dolour’s, Hendon. He is responsible for all aspects of parish life. Sheila Barr – Parish Secretary / Assistant
As well as managing the practical aspects of Presbytery life, Sheila assists Fr Dominic in a variety of ways with Parish Administration. Sheila also takes care of the Children’s Liturgy at the Sung (Family) Mass on Sunday at 10am and has taken care of the Children’s Liturgy for 26 years.
Tony Lenihan – Sacristan
Tony Lenihan has been Sacristan at Our Lady of Dolour’s for 18 years. In addition to his duties in the Sacristy, Tony is an altar server. Tony also takes care of the parish garden which came 3rd in the Barnet Garden in Bloom Awards 2009 for Best Front Garden.
John Brookes is Master of Ceremonies at Our Lady of Dolour’s and, in 2002, was awarded the Pro Ecclesia et Pontefici for services to the Diocese of Westminster for over 40 years . If you would like to serve at Parish Liturgies please speak to John or email email@example.com.
Sister Anthony – Sister Anthony has been a familiar presence in the Parish for over sixty years. Sister is also a Reader, Extra-Ordinary Minister of the Eucharist and makes home visits. Angela Kelly – First Holy Communion
Welcome to Angela who has joined our team and will be preparing children for First Holy Communion.
Norma Kerr – Catechist. After being part of the Confirmation team for 11 years Norma now leads the team of catechists who prepare the young people of the parish who are in our Confirmation programme.
Monika Cleaver – Catechist-Monika has been a catechist at Our Lady of Dolour’s for more then 18 years, mostly as the lead of our team for the Confirmation programme. Monika is now focusing on adult catechesis in our parish and will be working with and leading the RCIA team. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Monika was named Catholic Woman of the year 2015
The RCIA course is designed each year to cater for the needs of those attending preparing them to be received into the Church at the Easter Vigil. If you would like to find out more about RCIA please speak to Monika or email firstname.lastname@example.org.She also leads the parent sessions for the First Holy Communion programme and leads faith discussions in the parish.
Nuala Flynn- Befriending group. Nuala has been in the Parish for many years and was in the SVP. Nuala also is a Eucharistic Minister, and organises a group that reach out to people in the parish who may be unable to attend church, and would like to be visited. If you would like to become a member of this group please contact the office.
Jo O’Brien-Telephone Befriending Service. Jo has been at Our Lady of Dolour’s for many years, She has been involved with Confirmation, RCIA and Social Committee. She has just been awarded the Benemerenti Medal by Pope Francis for her 31 years of dedicated service to the Young Christian Workers. Jo has started a friendship telephone line for those that need a Listening ear. Forms are available at the back of the Church.
Robin Happe – Chairman, Finance Committee

Bertha Alvares – Safeguarding Representative
Bertha has special responsibility for raising awareness of safeguarding aims and policies, and promoting good and safe practices in all activities involving children, young people and vulnerable adults within the Parish. She has responsibility for facilitating the DBS is a disclosure procedure and ensuring that everybody who is required to go through the procedure does so. promotes engaging with children and vulnerable adults whilst safeguarding all those involved
