Chris Matthews is the Musical Director at Our Lady of Dolours. Chris leads the Choir at the Sunday (Family) Mass at 10am and other events throughout the year . Altar Servers assist the Priest during the Mass and other religious services throughout the year. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell etc. Many of the Altar Servers at Our Lady of Dolours are members of the Guild of St. Stephen which is an International Organisation of Altar Servers founded in London in 1904. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary minsters of Holy Communion are those members of the parish who assist the priest by distributing Holy Communion and taking the Sacrament to the sick and house-bound when the priest is not available. The term ‘extraordinary’ distinguishes such a person from the ordinary minister of Holy Communion in the parish, namely the priest. If you are interested in finding out more about this role please speak to Fr. Dominic directly.
The Children’s Liturgy takes place during the Sunday 10am Sung (Family) Mass ( term time). At the beginning of the liturgy the children are invited to go to the Parish Centre with their Parish Cathechists to reflect on the Gospel reading through story-telling, drawing, etc. There are two groups catering for 2-5yrs, 5-8 yrs. Catechesis provides an education in the Christian faith for children, young people and adults. The Parish provides catechisis for children preparing for First Communion, young people wishing to be confirmed and adults wishing to enter in to Full Communion with the Church (RCIA). Meeters & Greeters at Sunday Mass

Cleaning Church & Parish Centre
One group of volunteers clean the parish centre before the 10am Mass on Monday and another group of volunteers clean the church after Mass on Monday. If you would like to volunteer to help clean the church or parish centre please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers are always welcome to help maintain the beautiful garden at Our Lady of Dolours. In years gone by the parish has won awards from Barnet Gardens in Bloom. If you would like help in the garden please email email@example.com
Coffee & Tea after Mass
After the 10am Sung (Family) Mass all are welcome for a cup of tea or coffee in the parish centre. Volunteers are always welcome to help serve coffee, tea and biscuits! Parish Shop Our shop is open on Sundays in the hall after the 10am Mass with First Holy Communion and Confirmation gifts and cards. Also Handmade cards are on sale for our charity (Children’s Redeemer Home).

Parish Finance Committee

Our Lady of Dolour’s Befriending Group
A group of parishioners have come together to reach out to people in the parish who may be unable to attend church, and would like to be visited . Anyone interested in joining us please contact the presbytery.
